Risk of Dengue on the rise

Colombo (News1st): Health sector officials state that there is a risk of dengue spreading rapidly within the next 3 months.   Reports show that the number of dengue patients in the year 2018 decreased by 75% compared to 2017. However, the situation has arisen once again within the last few weeks.   Dr. Hasitha Tissera of the National Dengue Control Unit stated that lack of attention towards the youth having a fever is a reason leading to worsening of dengue. According to the National Dengue Control Unit, around 50 patients died of Dengue last year.
