4 SLFP Moratuwa MC councilors cross over

Colombo (News1st): 4 SLFP councilors of the Moratuwa Municipal Council have crossed over to the ruling party. The SLPP currently controls the MC. D. M. Sumith Pushpakumara, Randu Wijesuriya, Nalani Fernando and Deepa Ariyawansha are the councilors who crossed over to form an alliance with the SLPP. With the cross over the number of councilors in the ruling party,  increases to 27 councilors.   The opposition of the Moratuwa Municipal Council has 16 UNP councilors, four JVP councilors, and an independent councilor.
