COLOMBO (News 1st) – A 57-year-old individual was injured in a shooting near the Thotupola Junction in Kalutara North. The police confirmed that the victim was admitted to the Kalutara, Nagoda hospital.

The shooting took place at around 10.35 last night (January 01). The shooter who arrived at the location on a motor vehicle had fled the incident after the shooting.

The cause of the shooting is yet to be ascertained.

The Police is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
