People should decide the next UNP leader - Ravi K

Colombo (News 1st)-Minister of power, energy, and enterprise development Ravi Karunanayake stated that a leadership council is being created for the UNF to bring about a framework that fosters responsibility. He expressed these views to the media following an event held in Bloemendhal, Colombo. When Karunanayake was questioned whether he would like to take over leadership of the UNP, the minister reacted by saying that the people should decide who the leader of the party is and stated that it the country is to move forward, the people should be served. In addition, he stated that certain individuals, disregard their talents and attempt to take the country forward by highlighting issues in their respective districts and divisions. "We must be aware of the issues we face locally and internationally, and act practically. We will prove to everyone the difference we will bring to the country" - The Minister stated.
