Colombo (News1st): A 29-year-old British man drowned in a water-pool close to the Lakshapana Waterfall this afternoon (January 2).

Police said the man met with the tragedy while engaged in water sports with his girlfriend and several others. The body was recovered following an operation carried out by the Police and the locals.

It had been moved to the Dik Oya Base Hospital for the post-mortem examination.
