Over 2000 vendors found guilty of violating consumer laws

COLOMBO (News 1st): Over 2000 vendors have been found guilty of violating consumer laws during the festive season. According to the Consumer Affairs Authority, 2750 raids were conducted since November 15. Following the raids, the CAA filed court cases against 2175 vendors. The CAA Director-General M.S.M. Fouzer stated that the am+ount collected through the imposition of fines on these vendors exceeded Rs. 20 million.
