Parliament to convene at 1.00 p.m. today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Parliament chaired by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya is set to convene at 1 pm today (December 18). Secretary-General of Parliament Neil Iddawela confirmed that the Party Leaders' meeting will be held at the parliamentary complex at 12.00 noon. The parliamentary session today will also focus on determining the opening of the public and VIP viewing galleries that remained closed during the recent parliamentary sessions. Meanwhile, MP Dinesh Gunawardena confirmed that the UPFA would attend today's session and added that they would sit in the opposition today.
