Colombo (News1st): A new group of civil organizations has been formed called the National Peoples Movement. The main objective of this movement is to lead political propaganda of parties to a developed control system.

With a collaboration of 17 Civil Organizations, this movement has been formed to make a revolution politically, economically and socially.

Media Spokesperson of the Movement Gamini Nandagunawardana stated that Sri Lanka was under the strain of a great economic burden when the country underwent a political impasse which lasted nearly 2 months and showcased the true colours of the politicians. He stated that they are expecting a Political Group will be formed from this Civil Organization, which they can trust.

Executive Committee Member of the Movement (Dr.) Vinya Ariyaratne said that the country needs a new leadership as well as active citizens.
