UPFA demands post of Opposition leader

COLOMBO (News 1st) - UPFA Parliamentarian S.M. Chandrasena notes that they will not allow parliament to function if the UPFA does not receive the post of Opposition leader. Addressing a meeting in Nochchciyagama Chandrasena noted that the UPFA has 101 seats in the opposition and reiterated that both the positions of Opposition leader and Chief opposition whip should be given to the UPFA. Chandrasena warned that they would not allow the Speaker to carry on with Parliamentary activities unless this demand is met.
