Residence of Heroin trawler owner raided

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The residence of Duleep Samantha Silva, the owner of the trawler on which 231kg of Heroin was discovered, was raided by the Police Narcotics Bureau today (December 13). Duleep Samantha Silva is currently in police custody. The Police Media Unit confirmed that a sum of Rs. 59 million and two satellite phones believed to be used for carrying out the heroin racket were discovered from the suspect's residence. The 44-year-old suspect is a resident of Moragalla - Godalla, Beruwala. Two other suspects who were arrested for transporting the stock of heroin were remanded until the 20th of next month after they were presented before court yesterday (December 12).
