Uva Province supplementary medical professionals on strike

Colombo ( News 1st) - Employees attached to the service of Professions Supplementary to Medicine and Para Medical services as well as minor staff across all government hospitals in the Uva Province stepped away from their duties as a mark of protest over the cancellation of their over-time and other allowances. The protesting health workers claim transport allowances have not been paid for the past 06 months and over-time was denied to them for the past two months.
