Relatives of police officers voice their concerns

Colombo (News1st): Members of the Sri Lanka Police Relatives Collective gathered at the Galle Face Green today (December 12) and lit candles in memory of fallen police officers. The group later marched towards the Presidential Secretariat. Chairman of the collective Kasun Thivanka Wickremesinghe noted that they drafted a letter regarding four issues they wished to raise. The issues were as follows,
  1. Not receiving amended allowances
  2. Lack of a proper mechanism for promotions
  3. The welfare of the families of fallen and disabled Police Officers
  4. Internal issues of the police force being publicized on social media
The group handed over the letter to the Presidential Secretariat today.
