1. The implementation of the
Singapore - Sri Lanka Free Trade agreement has been
temporarily suspended till the
committee appointed to
revise the
agreement submits its recommendations and the
FR petitions filed against the agreement have been examined.
2. A
petition has been filed seeking a
writ of quo warranto in order to prevent
Ranil Wickremesinghe from functioning as a
parliamentarian citing that he is the
9th largest shareholder of
Lake House Printers & Publishers from
2014-2018.
3. The
Criminal Investigations Department has announced that the
investigation into the abduction and assault on
journalist Keith Noyahr has
concluded and that the
case has now been
directed to the
Attorney General.

today (December 12). The public gallery and the special invitee's gallery will be
closed.

DIG Nalaka De Silva who was arrested in connection to the
alleged assassination plot against the
President and the
Former Defence Secretary was
further remanded till the
19th of December.

estate workers demanding that their
wages be increased up to
Rs. 1000 has been
called off following

Department of Meteorology has advised
fishing and coastal communities along the coast of
Hambantota - Pothuvil and
Batticoloa - Trincomalee to
refrain from faring out to sea until the
15th of December.
