57 year old fishermen goes missing in the deep seas

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 57-year-old fisherman identified as Premathilaka Aatigala who set to sea from the Madiha fishing pier in Matara has been reported missing. The relatives of the missing person confirmed that he had set out to sea along with two other fishermen last morning (December 10). Two of them had gone snorkeling while the fisherman reported missing had come back to the boat to collect a new oxygen cylinder and later had gone back to sea. When he had not returned to the boat the two fishermen along with six others had launched a search operation in search of him. The search was later conducted with the involvement of the Sri Lankan Navy.
