SLPP leaders to meet the President

Colombo (News1st) - Party leaders who have extended their support to the SLPP are scheduled to meet with President Maithripala Sirisena at noon today (Dec 10). Speaking to News1st MP Rohitha Abeygunawardene stated that the meeting will take place at the Presidential Secretariat. Prior to the meeting with the President, the party leaders convened at the residence of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at his official residence in Wijeyrama. The meeting commenced at 8 am today. MP Abeygunawardene noted that the discussions will focus on the steps that need to be taken following the Supreme Court verdict as well as preparations for upcoming elections.
