SLMC calls for a tangible change

COLOMBO (News 1st) – Speaking to the media Leader of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress responded to queries on the possibility of fielding a common candidate for the upcoming elections.

He said that when the announcement on a presidential election is made that they will decide on a common candidate adding that they will call on a young member of the UNP to be nominated as the common candidate. Rauf Hakeem further said that they are of the view that for the next election they should give the people of the country fresh hope and a tangible change.

He commented on the matter following the central working committee meeting of the party in Kurunegala.
