Met department forecasts more rain

COLOMBO (News 1st) - In its latest weather advisory, the Department of Meteorology stated that the low-pressure area over the South-east of Sri Lanka in the Bay of Bengal still persists. The Department forecasted that showers or thundershowers are most likely to occur in the Eastern, Uva, Central and Sabaragamuwa provinces and also in the Hambantota, Polonnaruwa, Kaluthara, Galle and Matara districts in the evening. Fairly strong winds up to 40 kmph could occur in the Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Kurunegala district. Misty conditions may occur in certain areas of the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
