Heroin worth over Rs. 2.7 Bn confiscated in Beruwala

Colombo (News1st): Police arrested two suspects in the coast off Beruwala - Balapitiya for the possession of 231 kilograms of Heroin.
Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the value of the heroin is Rs. 2.778 Billion. The suspects were arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau and investigations are underway.
It must be stressed, investigations must also be conducted on those who are behind such massive consignments of heroin.
