13Kg of Cannabis confiscated in Gampola

Colombo (News1st): 13 kilograms of cannabis that was being transported from Wellawaya to Kandy was taken into police custody this morning in Gampola. The raid was carried out based on a tip-off received by the Udunuwara Welambada Police. The police stated that the suspects had transported 13 kilograms of cannabis worth over Rs. 3 million in three packets. Two suspects aged 27 and 39 and are residents of Wellawaya were arrested with cannabis.
