Man arrested over murder of police officers

40 year old apprehended over murder of police constables

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A 40-year-old man has been arrested under suspicion of being involved in the recent murder of two police officers in Vavunathiu, Batticaloa. According to the Vavuniya Police, the suspect has been identified as Kadiramathambi Irajakumaran alias "Kannan" who is a resident of Karayakanthiwu, Batticaloa. The suspect is to be handed over to the CID for further interrogation.
