Colombo (News 1st) – President Maithripala Sirisena has informed the Tamil National Alliance to put forward a motion for the appointment of a new Prime Minister.
According to TNA Parliamentary Group Leader R. Sampanthan, the President is expected to name a new Prime Minister in the next few days.
MP Charles Nirmalanathan said the Group of Parliamentarians had stressed to the President the country cannot move forward in the present manner and the situation needs to be solved.
The President has promised the MPs to solve the present crisis in the next 04 to 05 days.
Following the TNA meeting, the United National Front called on the President for a meeting. Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said the disucssion were based on the present political situation.
Leader of the All Ceylon Makkal Congress Rishad Bathiudeen said they would be meeting the President again on Sunday(December 02), to further discuss matters.
