7000 Samurdhi Officers granted permanent appointments

Colombo (News 1st) -  7000 Samurdhi Officers were awarded permanent appointments at the Sugathadasa Stadium this evening. The event was held under the auspices of President Maithripala Sirisena. Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and several other MPs and Ministers graced the occasion. 7000 of the 14,400 Samurdhi officers received permanent appointments under the first phase of this initiative. Departmental positions are to be granted to the rest during this initiative.
