Reuters: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed met French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe for a working dinner in Paris on Wednesday (November 21). Earlier on Wednesday, a rights group filed a lawsuit against the crown prince accusing him of war crimes, complicity in torture and inhumane treatment in Yemen. The complaint, filed in a Paris court, comes as pressure grows on French President Emmanuel Macron to curb arms sales to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which head a coalition fighting the Iran-aligned Houthi rebels who control most of northern Yemen and the capital Sanaa. Diplomatic efforts to halt the war in Yemen have proved unsuccessful and attempts by rights group's to hold the war's protagonists to account have gained little international traction so far. France also has a military base in Abu Dhabi. Prince Mohammed, a close ally of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, had a closed-door lunch with Macron earlier in the day.
