Colombo (News 1st) – Convening a media briefing, UNP MP Chaminda Wijesiri stated that the politicians accepted by everyone within the United National party should be nominated for the upcoming elections.

He states that everyone should work towards developing the country and that he would like to remind Ranil Wickramasinghe just as he is trying to uphold the law in the country and act constitutionally, he should create a leader who can carry out such an administration.

He then notes that they acknowledge the need for a common candidate, but this common candidate should be from the United National Party.
