Parliament is due to convene at

all-party conference convened yesterday (November 19). At the meeting the
UNF stated that they are ready to submit
113 signed affidavit at today's
parliamentary sessions, proving their
majority in parliament.

49-year-old woman has been arrested by the
customs officials at the
BIA with illegal
foreign cigarettes.

31-year-old individual has been arrested over
murdering his parents from Akmeemana, Galle.
7. The
Department of Examinations states that the
evaluation of appeals for the
Grade 5 scholarship examination have commenced. Over
35,000 appeals have been submitted for recorrection this year.
8. The
Department of Meteorology forecasts an
increase in
rainy conditions over the next few days.
9. The
Health sector states that there is a
significant increase in
Yellow fever in the
Kurunegala district.
