Colombo (News1st) – In a letter to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, President Maithripala Sirisena has expressed his disappointment over his actions in parliament today.

The letter notes that Speaker Karu Jayasuriya acted in a manner which violates the constitution, standing orders as well as Parliamentary tradition when taking up the no-confidence motion against Mahinda Rajapaksa and members of the Government

The letter adds that he is saddened by the actions of Jayasuriya who had forwarded an uncertified copy of a document which claims that a no confidence momtion was passed in Parliament…
