UPDATE : 11 petitions filed against dissolution of parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st) - 11 petitions have been filed before the Supreme Court against the dissolution of Parliament. The court reporter for News 1st said that these petitions were filed by several political parties and other groups. The Chairman of the UNP Kabir Hashim, Rauf Hakeem, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Rishad Bathiudeen, Mano Ganeshan and the leader of the TNA R. Sampanthan were among those who submitted petitions. In addition, Lal Wijenayake, Attorney at law Anura Laksiri, G.C.T Perara and R. A. S. B Perera and the Centre for Policy Alternatives had also filed five more petitions.
