COLOMBO (News 1st): The Frontline Socialist Party believes that Sri Lanka is now in a "serious state of anarchy". Speaking to the media, the party's publicity secretary Pubudu Jagoda said: "on one side, there is a call for election while the others have gone to court to call off that election." Jagoda also questioned the fate of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, given that Mahinda Rajapaksa and 53 other former MPs who were members of the SLFP have decided to contest the upcoming election from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna. "We can see interesting things unfold when they make their lists," he added. He also commented on the conflict within the United National Party, stating that they are now trying to see how they can fool the public. "People in the previous govt say that what happened before the 8th of January was a revolution. Now Gunadasa Amarasekara is saying that what we saw on the 26th is a revolution. They call it the October revolution. This is an amazing series of revolutions." he said.
