TNA to file case against dissolution of parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Announcing their stance on the current political situation of the country the TNA stated that they are planning to go to courts against the dissolution of Parliament. General Secretary of the TNA, K. Thurairajasingam said that their party stands on the firm position that the President had violated the 19th amendment to the constitution in dissolving the Parliament. He noted that opposition leader and leader of the TNA R. Sampanthan will file a case in court tomorrow (November 12) demanding the reinstatement of the previous government. The TNA General Secretary added that at courts they will insist that the president should act upon the gazette notification that specified that the parliament will be reconvened on the 14th of this month.
