STF protection for 6 state institutions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Following the President' s decision to dissolve parliament special security has been assigned to six state institutions. A senior officer of the Police STF confirmed that special security has been assigned to several media institutions such as Lake house, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, and the Independent Television Network. In addition security has been beefed up at the Attorney General's Department and the Department of Government Printers. The STF spokesperson said that two special teams have been deployed to assess the security provided to these government bodies.
