COLOMBO (News 1st) – An employee at the Bandaranayake International Airport was arrested for the possession of Gold biscuits valued at over Rs. 4.2 Million.

Speaking to News 1st Deputy Director of Customs Vipula Minuwanpitiya said that six gold biscuits and three pieces of gold in the suspect’s possession were confiscated.

The suspect was later released on a fine of Rs. 100,000.

Investigations into the incident are currently underway.
