Colombo (News1st) - Reports have emerged that President Maithripala Sirisena has issued the orders to dissolved Parliament. Follow the live updates below.. 11.42PM: Extraordinary Gazette issued stating the general election will be held on the 5th of Jan 2019. Accepting of nominations to begin on the 19th of this month and continue till the 26th. 10.48PM:  "..President Sirisena has signed the Gazette to dissolve Parliament with effect from midnight. The Gazette is in the process of being printed. After the Gazette is printed we will be able to speak about the next election.." - Min.
