87 year old man hacked to death in Ahungalla

Colombo (News 1st) - An individual has been hacked to death in the Pathiraja area in Ahungalla. The deceased is an 87-year-old man who was hacked to death in a mill last night. He had been alone in the mill and the daughter had taken him to the hospital this morning and had informed the police about the incident. The magisterial inquiry into the killing was carried out today by the Acting magistrate of  Balapitiya. The body was taken to the Elpitiya Base Hospital for post-mortem examination. Ahungalla Police is conducting further investigations.
