MP's left to Mecca to get blessings - S. B.

Colombo (News 1st) - Minister S. B. Dissanayake talking to the media stated that they have the majority of votes in Parliament. He stated that the speaker is concerned about the 113 votes and that they do not have the patience to wait to convene the Parliament. He goes on to state that they will show the strength of the new government before the 14th. Adding to this he notes that when the changes in the country are evident with Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister it will be easily seen that the votes are even beyond 113. When a question was raised regarding the MP's who left to Mecca on the pilgrimage, Minister S. B. Dissanayake stated that they were sent on the pilgrimage to obtain the blessings of Allah and that they will also support the government upon returning.
