Officials debate between vouchers and uniform materials

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that they are analyzing the option of re-issuing material for school uniforms in place of vouchers. Secretary to the Ministry Pathmasiri Jayamanne said that this measure was adopted after considering the large amount of requests calling for the re-issue of uniform materials. Several senior officials from the Ministry have been assigned to assess the matter. However, it must also be noted that either vouchers or materials should be handed over to the students for the next academic year before the end of this month.
