We have 105 votes - Min. Dayasiri Jayasekara

Colombo (News 1st) - The SLFP held a media briefing today (November 07) regarding the appointment of the prime minister and the convening of Parliament. Minister of Vocational Training and Skills Development, Dayasiri Jayasekara stated that they respectfully ask Ranil Wickremesinghe to protect the democracy of the party. Minister Dayasiri stated that the reason for this appointment was due to the threat on the President's life and the relationship with India, which the Minister defined as a "country we love". He went onto note that they are keeping a track of the votes that they have in parliament and that they currently have a total of 105 votes. Dayasiri added that the 98 votes that Ranil Wickremesinghe had, has now reduced. Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara notes that JVP will not vote for Mahinda or Ranil and that there are few in the TNA that support the UNP. He added that there are people who cannot win the vote of the Tamil people they are waiting to get inside on the national list of the UNP.
