Police to act on instructions of President

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara says he acts according to the definite instructions and orders given by the President. Speaking at a media briefing at the Police Headquarters, the IGP further said the President is the Minister of Law and order. IGP went on to say that Sri Lanka Police will operate as per the gazette notification issued by President Maithripala Sirisena. He stressed the letter handed over to Police headquarters by Ranjith Madduma Bandara yesterday is not valid.
