UPDATE: UNP MPs Thewarapperuma and Withanage released on bail

UPDATE: - UNP MP's Heshan Withanage and Palitha Thewarapperuma arrested earlier today (November 05) have been released on bail. The order was issued by Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne. The case was postponed to the 14th of February 2019. The two MPs were released on a surety bail of Rs. 100,000 each. UNP MPs Heshan Withanage & Palitha Thewarapperuma surrendered themselves to the police following an altercation. According to Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekera, the two MPs are accused of allegedly assaulting Former UPFA councilor Major Ajith Prasanna near Temple Trees.
