Special traffic plan in line with the 'Jana Mahimaya' rally

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special traffic plan will be enacted today (November 05) along roads surrounding the parliament. The traffic plan is enacted due to the Jana-Mahimaya rally organized in support of the government scheduled to begin at 12 noon today (November 05). The traffic plan will be in place along the parliament road at Diyatha Uyana and the Polduuwa roundabout. Vehicular movement along this road will be limited from 12 noon. The police informed motorists to make use of alternative routes during this time period. Police media spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that 1200 police officers have been deployed to provide security for this rally.
