All faculties of South Eastern University to close indefinitely

COLOMBO (News 1st) - All faculties of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka will be closed indefinitely from 04 this evening (October 24). University Registrar Abdul Sathar said this step was taken as university students took over the administration building to protest the suspension of 19 students. He added the protest has been going on for 13 days. The students commenced the protest demanding an immediate stop to the inquiry taking place against the students over a ragging incident. The University Registrar stressed this matter was informed to both the Police & Court.
