Min. Kiriella honored with Shasana Mamaka Janaprasadana

Colombo (News1st): Minister of Public Enterprise & Kandy City Development Lakshman Kiriella was honoured with the ''Shasana Mamaka Janaprasadana'' title from the Asgiri Chapter of the Siam sect. This event was held at the Asgiriya Maha Viharaya in Kandy. The chief incumbent of the Asgiri Chapter of the Siyam Sect Ven. Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thero chaired the ceremony together with the Chief Incumbent of the Malwathu Chapter. President Maithripala Sirisena also participated in this ceremony. This was the first occasion that a Head of State has attended an Honorary title event of the Asgiri Chapter. The 'Sannas Pathraya' of the ''Shasana Mamaka Janaprasadana'' honorary title was announced by the Registrar of the Asgiri Chapter, Venerable (Dr.) Medagama Dhammananda Thera. The most Ven. Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana thero presented the sannas to Minister Lakshman Kiriella.
