100 member team to probe into unauthorized constructions across the country

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - The Urban Development Authority hopes to deploy a 100 member special team to probe unauthorized constructions across the island. The team will mainly focus on whether constructions are taking place according to a proper plan and if relevant permission is obtained for these constructions. The team is also expected to verify the quality of construction and the material used. Legal action will be enacted against all unauthorized constructions in Sri Lanka. So far cases have been filed against 100 such people.
