The inside scoop on the UNP by Johnston Fernando

Colombo (News 1st) - UPFA MP Johnston Fernando convened a media briefing today and spoke about the UNP. The MP stated that the cases filed against him have been done astutely by individuals leaning on the Yahapalana board. He claims that the FCID is a branch that is loyal to the UNP and to Sirikotha adding that all this was a coordinated campaign of mudslinging and character assassinations that was hatched in 2012. Johnston Fernando further claims that Ranil Wickramasinghe has planned to remain as the UNP Leader till 2030. The former minister who was once a member of the UNP believes that Ranil Wickremesinghe is very talented in playing the role of a dictator, adding that he is not attacking media institutions using his position and privileges as a shield. Fernando goes on to claim that the UNP has more issues than SLFP adding that its common knowledge as to how Ranil Wickramasinghe attacks Sajith Premadasa. Touching on the current minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, Johnston accused him of stealing money from the Central Bank and then transporting it in trucks to pay off MPs when necessary.
