Mannar mass grave skeletons to be sent to US

Colombo (News1st): The Mannar Court has ordered that samples of the skeletal remain uncovered at the Mannar mass grave to be sent to the US for carbon dating. Chief Judicial Medical Officer in charge of the Mannar mass grave excavations, Dr. Saminda Rajapaksa of the Mannar Hospital said, the samples will be sent to Beta Analytic in the USA. 185 skeletal remains, 15 of them belonging to children, have been uncovered thus far. On the 26th of March, skeletal remains were discovered in a mound of earth that was moved to Emil Nagar from Mannar after the old Mannar Sathosa Building was demolished.
