COLOMBO (News 1st) – Area residents in Ampitiya staged a protest obstructing the Kandy – Thalathu Oya road today (October 15).

The protestors demanded the renovation of the road between Kandy to Thalathu Oya which had not been renovated for an extended period.

The protest that went on for nearly four hours, disrupted vehicular movement in the Ampitiya town.
