"Government has committed mistakes" - Minister Rajitha

COLOMBO (News 1^st) – "The Government has weaknesses, the Government has committed mistakes," a moment of sincerity by Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne immediately followed by a cynical defence "but there isn't a single country in the world that has not committed a mistake." The minister was speaking at an event in Ambalangoda on Sunday (Oct 14th) held in his honour. Dr. Senaratne went onto to reject allegations levelled by the former President who had stated that it was Ministers Senaratne and Patali Champika Ranawaka who were attempting to imprison them. The Minister noted that his efforts are aimed to bring those who committed wrongful acts against the likes of Thajudeen, Lasantha and Eknaligoda. He remined the public that has gathered at the occassion that it was a promise made by them to bring such culprits as well as those who stole millions from the public under various guises before the law. Rajitha believes that allegations of this nature are being levelled because they are attempting to fullfill their promises.
