Two arrested at BIA in an attempt to smuggle gold

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two suspects were arrested whilst attempting to smuggle two Gold biscuits and jewellery into the island. The arrest was made by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Division attached to the BIA when the suspects had arrived in the island from Saudi Arabia. The suspects are residents of Horowpothana and Trincomalee. They have been handed over to the customs officials for further investigations.
