Colombo (News1st): The Road Development Authority state that a 10% discount will be granted to customers who use the Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) along the expressways.

Director of the Maintenance and Management Division of the Southern Expressway S. Opanayaka said that users of the system can make payments without stopping at toll booths.

He said that although the system is only available along the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway at present, measures have also been taken to introduce this system along the Southern Expressway.

He added that over 15,000 people have registered for the Electronic Toll Collection system.
