Brawl at the Balangoda Urban Council

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Today's session of the Balangoda Urban Council ended in a brawl. The fight broke out between the current chairman and the previous chairman of the council. Chairman Chamika Jayamini Wawegedera presided over the council meeting that was held today (October 11). Members of the SLPP representing the council attended the session today wearing black armbands to express their protest against the fuel pricing formula, the alleged assassination attempt on Gotabaya Rajapaksa and a number of other issues. The brawl erupted when the former chairman of the council continues to speak disregarding the orders of the council chairman.
