Rs. 10,000 advance payment for families affected by adverse weather conditions

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Secretary of the Ministry of Disaster Management, Engineer Sisira Kumara states that owing to the prevailing weather over 350 houses have been damaged. He added that a sum of Rs.10,000 is to be paid as an advance for the affected families from today (September 25). He further added that measures have been taken to estimate the cost of the damage caused and compensation to be paid.
